Was looking for a add-on to copy/clone/duplicate a user and stumbled on this thread instead of a add-on. So yes I need this to easily create new users who has the same rights as the choosen user.
We work with groups authorisation and not with users so cloning a user is all we need to provide access.

Add me to the list of people who would like to see this feature added. As employees are added to our projects it would be a very helpful feature to be able to clone an existing user to ensure all permissions are set correctly.

I agree with Stuart, this is not the same as CONF-22297. We get request all the time for new team members to have their group permissions cloned from an existing team member. I am very surprised that a application of this size does not have what I would consider a basic function of a permission administration tool. A "create like" or "clone permissions" is a basic function and should be added to the enhancement list ASAP. Since the tool does not provide this is there a SQLworkaround until this function is added?

I don't think it does. CONF-22297 is about moving or copying to a different directory. This is much simpler

1. Clone user - a quick popup for the new users name, email etc.
2. New user created with the same groups.

Would be a big help - can you re-open please?
