      Atlassian Update - 16 July 2013

      This issue has been duplicated by the issue at CONFSERVER-22287 - When Inserting Link Insert Button Not Clickable When Using Mouse Right-Click to Paste. Please watch that issue for further updates and more detailed workarounds.

      Hi guys,

      It seems that Confluence does not allow you to insert a link into a page when you are using a mouse right-click + paste instead of the keyboard shortcut.

      Here's the process:

      • On a Confluence page, select Edit;
      • Type in the text that will become the link;
      • Click Link button in the toolbar;
      • Then try to insert a link using the mouse right-click + paste.

      When you paste this link, the Insert button remains grayed out so you can't insert it.

      If you edit or add a space to that link, then the Insert button will be available.

      If you use the keyboard shortcut keys, then no problem there.

      Most likely this is related to the fact that Confluence is listening for keyboard keys and not mouse input.

      Cheers,
      Ricardo Martins
