Ability for non-admins to view members of a group

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Now that we have "share with groups" in Confluence 5.2
      (see CONF-22430) end users may want a way to see who is in the group they're sharing with.

      I'd imagine there would be the ability to search for the group in Confluence and then display a page that lists all the members of that group.

            We regret to inform you that due to limited demand, we have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future. In order to set expectations, we're closing this request now.             We have an Intranet implementation of Confluence, but have also been discussing an extranet implementation for our association of 27,000 Professional Engineers. The extranet implementation is envisioned to allow groups to collaborate and interact where the individuals are only loosely connected by profession, industry, and/or location. While Confluence's social network and following features are ok, the ability to discover who is also in the same group as you or correspondingly who is watching something and what groups are they in, is functionality currently not available in confluence. The ability to see who is in a group would be a good first step.

            Ultimately we are looking for the ability not only to see group membership, but to see the members (and their corresponding groups) that are watching something or are members (have permission to see/update) a space or specific content.
