MultiMedia WMV file fails to play with error 'this operation couldn't be completed the file is not a movie file (-2048)' In Chrome or FireFox

    Description

      When embedding a WMV file in Confluence, it will play in IE but not Chrome or Firefox despite having the proper plugins installed. Please see attached screen shot for the visual error.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Download attached example WMV file
      2. Drag and drop into a Confluence page
      3. Save the page
      4. View page in Chrome of Firefox

      Interestingly enough, this same WMV file can be viewed in Chrome without incident here. The difference appears the be that Confluence defines the type="application/octet-stream" where as the above page, where this works, is of type="video/x-ms-wmv". Perhaps using octet is too generic and the file type should be specified?
