Description
NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.
Steps to reproduce.
- Add a JIRA pie chart gadget (or any other gadget) on a Confluence page
- Export the page to PDF or Word.
- The chart is not rendered. You see html markup being displayed in the export (refer attachment)
Tested with JIRA 5.2.1 / 6.3.3 and Confluence 5.1.2 / 5.5.6.
Workaround
You can print the page with your browser and then select "Save as PDF" instead of actually printing the page. This is because the problem is related to the PDF export library that is unable to render the JS code of the gadgets before triggering the export. When you print the page in the browser, the content is already rendered, so there is no need for a server-side action before generating the export.
