      Confluence 5.2, Windows Server 2008 64bit, Installer Package, MySQL 5.5, All set to UTF-8 (JDBC-Connect, MySQL-DB, Java)

When creating instructional text in a space page template using eg. german umlauts (äöüß) these characters are not saved and not displayes when reediting the page. Also they are not displayed when using the template.

This happens ONLY in the instructional text, all other parts support international characters without any problems.

      To repeat:
      1. Create/Edit a template for a space
      2. Insert Instructional Text with umlauts äöüÄÜÖß
      3. Save template
      4. Edit template

Result: Umlauts entered before are gone
