      Atlassian Update - 22 December 2023

This is Charlie from the Confluence team. I'm pleased to let you know that we have released support for sorting table contents in the editor in the Confluence Data Center 8.7.1 release.

Sort columns with text, dates, user mentions, and links, and save your changes when you publish. You'll also see sticky table headers in the editor so you can be sure you’re writing to the correct cell without scrolling up. We’ve got your team sorted

See what else you can do with tables.

      Kind regards,

      Charlie

Currently you can sort the contents of a table in the view page, but not inside the editor.

A customer requested this here on CAC.

Would love to be able to sort in editor mode and have the resulting order saved on submit. Just think, if you have an alphabetical list in a table you presently have to create it in alphabetical order and manually add rows above and below to maintain it. Otherwise you have to hope people are smart enough to sort alphabetically (or by whatever value) each time they view the page. Thanks.
