Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new page
- Upload a TIFF image test.TIF
- Insert a new Attachments macro
- Save the page
Expected Results
Confluence should provide an option to download the file (reproducible in Confluence 3.5.x).
(note: by default, images should show a thumbnail. but TIFF images cannot be displayed as a thumbnail in Confluence)
Actual Results
Confluence tries to display the image as a thumbnail.

Workaround
- Right click on the attachment and save/download it
- Go to the Attachments page in Tools > Attachments to access the TIFF images
- Change the Content Type of the image in the Properties page to application/octet-stream
