      Custom CSS does not apply to elements in the Admin console of in the page view (neither edit nor display mode)

      I have this custom CSS defined:

      .atlwdg-trigger {
      background:white !important;
      border-color:grey !important;
      }

      This CSS displays correctly in other areas of Confluence, eg the Dashboard, but it lost when in the Admin console and in Page view.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Create a JIRA Issue Collector
      2. Add it to Confluence
      3. Add the above CSS to change the appearance of the connector
      4. View to Dashboard
        • Observe that the collector changes colour
      5. View the Admin Console
        • Observe that the collector does not have the custom CSS applied
      6. View a page
        • Observe that the collector does not have the custom CSS applied

             Tips :

            You can add custom HTML to a field description !

            Example :

            <style>
                #email-group, #name-group {display: none !important}
            </style>

            Hi dunterwurzacher

            Sorry for not updating this ticket sooner. I'm going to close this as won't fix. What I am going to do is talk to rrobins about adding some content to our documentation that explains that custom CSS is not applied within the administration area.

            My concern with giving people the opportunity to configure the way the admin console looks is that they could (potentially) changes things in such a way as to make it incredibly difficult for them to undo or use the admin console in future.

            I also worry that it could possibly have a negative impact on the MTTR for support. If someone has heavily modified their admin screens then finding/locating things in the admin pages could become tricky.

            Regards

            Reopening as discussed with shaffenden, as this only relates to one CSS item. If you find further CSS issues please raise them in a new ticket.

            Hi Denise

            As with CONF-28277 I think that we need to deal with each of these situations individually. If you could create a separate ticket for each CSS problem that you come up against and we can then judge it and schedule it based on it's individual merits.

            Regards
