    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

As it stands now Confluence does not support any way to ensure that users create a secure password. Traditionally the password complexity requirement has been forced off to an external authentication source like LDAP or AD. This is limiting for customers that want to add users outside their external directories.

            Additional refinements to the request:
            1) allow different policies to be enforced depending on user membership of groups
            2) allow null passwords subject to specific group membership
            3) (stretching a single feature request, I know....) allow password reset by email.
