We recently purchased Confluence and our Installation is not big. The memory usage of Confluence grows continuously until max Memory is reached. Then Confluence gets slow and finally you get weird errors. After a restart it works fine again. But Confluence is only up for 1 or 2 days -> same behaviour...
So we increased max mem to 512MB which is quite a lot. This results in longer uptime but not much longer(still reaches maximum).

Only indication of errors in the logs are

• backup problems see CONF-2624 (not fixed for 1.4DRx yet).Applied the fix -> now works
• JiraJdbcProfileProvider CONF-2656 and applied fix from 1.3.x release

But it doesnt improve the situation . Are there any known problems fitting our case?

Would you recommend:
-switching to 1.3.x ?
-switching from Standalone to JBOSS (for example our Jira Installation on JBOSS has a constant memory usage
of about 80MB with long uptime...)

Most of our user use TimTam, perhaps it has something to do with it?
