    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We should have an option to default expand macros to open/closed on page load. Text is not searchable from closed expand macros on page load.

There is a large amount of feedback/comments on both of these pages relating to additional functionality surrounding this highly used macro.

[CONFSERVER-27077] Option to display expand macro expanded/collapsed on page load

We would also love to see a solution or workaround for this, giving the option to choose whether or not an expand macro is by default expanded.

Please give us a solution here.

Expand macros are still currently completely unusable to create neater documents without the functionality to search a page for what is inside them with CTRL+F. This is a huge oversight that has been complained about for years in this ticket and still no updates and marked as "Not considered". f9221957a5e4

Without searches that can access "/expand" contents or an "expand / collapse" button, the entire '/expand' function is a half baked feature. How has it been years and this goes unanswered?

Any update on searchable expand macro solution? Defeats purpose of tucking away bulk information if not searchable.

Just spend 2 days revamping a heavy page only to realize Crtl+F doesn't work

            Please provide solution quick!

            Thanks

An expand all/collapse feature BUTTON would be very useful. Not really interested in a default
