When using the JIRA issues macro on a confluence page to display issues with custom datetime fields, the date is shown, but not the time.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a custom Date Time field in JIRA
- Add some issues that enter a value in the custom field
- Add the custom field to the search results in JIRA
- View a search that shows the issues and the custom field
- In the search results, go to Views, right click on XML and select Copy Link Location
- Link Confluence and JIRA together
- Create a page and add the JIRA Issues Macro
- Enter the name of the custom field in columns
- Observe that the date is displayed, but not the time
Possible workaround
If you change the Date Format under Administration > General configuration, to include the timestamp, the macro will display the time portion too, however this does not only affect the operation of the macro, but all parts of Confluence, so consider the implementation of such a change.
This does not only affects custom fields with date/time picker type but built-in fields too.
