Cannot Create Tables of Contents for imported pages from a different wiki

When the user import a page from a different wiki that is not from Atlassian and then include a table of contents , all the links point back to the old wiki. If I create a new table of contents all of the links seem to point to the top of the page rather than the header that they should.
We tested and removed the headers that are not working and added new headers and it seems to work but if we added more headers without removing the old headers the problem persists. It seems a malfunction in TOC if we import from a different Wiki.

Hi Bernardo

Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As this has been on the backlog for 2 years no with very little movement in that time I'm going to close this issue as won't fix, I believe that this better reflects the status of this issue.

If the problem is raised again in the future we will readdress it.

Regards

User informed this:

The headers that I am importing happen to have
anchor tags. Like this:
Header Title

If I use firebug and work around the missing functions of your editor to
remove those anchors, then your macro creates a valid table of contents.
Even if I take a page created entirely within Confluence and just stick an
empty anchor in front of the header, it confuses your Macro.
