Export to Word rendered content incorrectly in Confluence 4.2 and 4.3 in Libre Office / Open Office

      Problem Description
Export page to word in Confluence 4.2 and 4.2.1 shows the content incorrectly, it seems like the html that is generated did not rendered correctly.

      Findings
The issue didn't affect MS Office 2007, but it affects Open Office. The tags generated has '3D' before the quotation mark, after equal sign. For example it is generated like.

      http-equiv=3D"Content-Type"

      Instead of

      http-equiv="Content-Type"

For more information, please refer to the following attachment, based on Confluence 4.2 release notes.

            Fix bad version

Hi All, thanks for your comments on this issue to date.

During his investigation of this ticket, David found that it was due to the changes we made to ensure that images embedded in a Confluence page are shown in the Word export, as per CONF-6246.

Unfortunately, while this greatly improves the experience of MS Word users, Open Office is now unable to read these files.

While this is unfortunate, the fact that Open Office was able to open the old exports was a 'bonus' but not an explicitly supported feature, so I am going to close this bug and point those interested to CONF-17391, an existing Improvement request for the support of Open Office.

            Thanks,
            John Masson

I do not think it is a Minor bug

Fixing this problem is quite urgent for us.

This is critical for us, as it has broken our build system, and we cannot release any of our products without it. Is there a downgrade path?
