Links containing ^ character not recognised when typed into the editor

      I suspect this bug affects all versions since the new editor was introduced in 4.0.

      Steps to reproduce:
      1. Physically type the following link into the editor

      http://example.com&version=v^1.0

      2. Hit the "enter" key
      3. You'll notice that the URL entered is not automatically converted to a link

      However, when the same URL is pasted into the editor, or inserted via the link macro, the link is correctly recognised.

            This worked in 3.2 (unsure when it was fixed) by entering a [link] in wiki markup, but has resurfaced with the new editor.
