Problem:
We got a lot of hits for different variations of names which includes some of the letters in that name, but not exact that name we're looking for.
Steps to reproduce:
In an Confluence 3.5.4
- Create an page and named that like, test_cs.or
- Now try to search to "test_cs"
You'll see that your result will return "No results found for test_cs."

Sounds like the default confluence lucene tokeniser (used to extract data for the search index) does not do what you expect. There is already a feature request for it: CONF-14910.
Meanwhile you can use the quicksearch box as it does the partial matching for page names (just don't hit enter as it will send you to the normal search, wait until the result appear in the dropdown).
