    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

When creating technical documentation, cross references are essential. For requirements traceability, a requirement in a derived document needs a link to the parent requirement in another document, and since these documents tend to be large, the derived requirement needs to link to an anchor tag in the parent document, not only the document itself.

At the moment, creating a link like that with the "insert link" function is difficult at best, downright impossible most of the time.
