The attachments macro used in an included page is not displaying attachments from included page, but instead showing attachments from current page

The include page macro is not rendering attachments that are listed with the attachments macro in the included page, but are instead displaying attachments from the current page where the include macro is being placed on. This used to work (in an earlier version).

            That's it! It works fine!
            Thanks for your support.

Thanks Ralf. 2.0.31 of the macro is broken. I've now removed it from plugins.atlassian.com and replaced it with version 2.0.34 which will work for you.

If you update again you'll be fine.

            Thanks.

            Thanks for your description.
Our problem seems to be a part of the issue CONF-23997. We receive the message "Unkown attachment". So I will create a new comment on issue CONF-23997.
With confluence version 4.0 (installed end of november 2011) the marco still worked. After we installed the plugin update this week the problem occured. So we installed the confluence version 4.1., but the same error occurs.

But I checked also the attachment marcro as part of an included page.
The attachments of the included pages will not be displayed. The attachment list is empty.

I've re-opened this issue because from the various different version reports I'm not sure it is the same problem.

CONF-24233 only applies to version 4.1.1 which wasn't released anyway.

Or more specifically, any version of Confluence which uses confluence-advanced-macros versions 2.0.30 to 2.0.32.

            Confluence Version confluence-advanced-macros Version
            4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.0.3 2.0.27
            4.0.4, 4.0.5 2.0.29
            4.1 2.0.29
            4.1.1 2.0.32 (broken)

Now I'm afraid I cannot reproduce the problem on the versions of Confluence reported here. I've tried 4.0.3, 4.0.4 and 4.1.

Can anyone shed some light on how they are reproducing this problem?
In addition, can you check the version of the confluence-advanced-macros you are using (found via the plugins Administration screen). Could it be that the people experiencing this problem have upgraded to later (broken) versions of the plugin?

Ralf, this issue describes this scenario:
            1) Create a page with attachments and an instance of the {attachments} macro in the page
            2) Include the page from (1) in another page
            3) The attachment macro rendered in step 2 will show attachments from the page instead of from the included page (1).

            CONF-23997 describes this scenario:
            1) Create a page with image attachments that are embedded in the page content
            2) Include the page from (1) in another page
            3) The page from step 2 will not show the included images but will instead show 'Unknown attachment'.

Thanks for the solution! But I can't understand the difference between CONF-23997 and CONF-24233. We will try release 4.1.2, if its available.

This will be fixed in version 4.1.2 which is due for release around 9th January 2012.
This particular problem was fixed by CONF-24233.

Note that there may be some confusion between this issue and CONF-23997. This issue is specifically related to the attachment macro being used within an included page.

We have also this problem in 4.1. Unfortunately, we miss pictures on our welcome page!
