      CONF-24038 creates macros for full macro input such as

      {status:color=green}

      . However, because the autocomplete UI disappears as soon as I hit the :, I assumed that it would not work until I read the full detail of that issue. The visual queue of taking away the autocomplete grey box is, to me at least, a very strong visual indicator that autocomplete (or autoformat) is not going to apply.
