External JIRA Gadget does not display properly in Confluence

      Steps:
      1. Create a new page in confluence.
2 Insert a other Macro , External Content JIRA gadget "Filter Results " or "Average Number of Times in Status".
      2. In the preview pane there is only a rolling board - no option can be selected, not even the finish button..(finish button is disabled)
      3. So cant select a project or filter and cant insert macro as message next to insert states "Please complete the configuration in the preview area first"

      Result:
      1. User is not able to select any project or filter. No options showing in preview.
      2. Other earlier inserted Jira macro also appear blank on earlier created pages in Confluence

      Expected:
      1. User should be able select project or filter.

      Confluence logs show:

            Hi Team,

meanwhile I've upgraded our Server to Confluence 7.3.4 and Jira 8.7.1 and the  gadget import from Jira to Confluence still doesn't work.  Is there a solution in sight or a workaround recommended?

            Hi

We face the same problem. The gadget works in JIRA but we are not able to configure it in Confluence when trying to insert the macro.

            Can you advise?

            Regards

As I noted above, the stack trace relates to a problem with the JIRA issue macro, so if unrelated to the customer's problem with Gadgets. Since the gadget issue was resolved by Support and no further information was retrieved regarding the issue macro I'm closing this issue.

I think it is more likely that the base url used to include the gadgets in Confluence was different to the base url of the actual JIRA instance.

Something else must be going on, because the error in the stacktrace relates to the jira issues macro and the problem refers to an issue with the jira gadget. They are completely different code paths.
