With the new RTE in Confluence 4.0 macros got a placeholder to visualize them better, but this also meant we lost the ability to fast and easily edit macro properties, instead we always have to select the placeholder, click edit and then modify, this causes for a huge step back in productivity.
A Suggestion would be to allow to edit this properties as a direct inline text field.
A First implementation would be one single text-field using the old syntax to separate different properties.
This could cause a number of errors like misspelled parameters etc. But would be far better than what it is now.
Future implementations could improve it even further i guess or the initial could as well, because this might not be the ideal solution I have suggested for a number of reasons, but the dialog is not even a solution, that is an obstacle...
