This is a little hard to describe, but it's easy to reproduce. Make a big table and quickly click in different cells while typing at the same time. You will soon get stuck in cell selection mode. Typing will do nothing, and left clicking will not let you out of cell selection mode. You basically have to save the page and start editing again as there seems to be no other way to escape from cell selection mode.
