    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Background:
      https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/13719/what-happens-when-every-confluence-developer-adds-their-macro-to-the-featured-macros-section-in-the-editor

Too many "Featured Macros" means that the "Insert" dropdown drops off the bottom of the screen

Disabling web-items for each plugin in the plugin configuration screen for that plugin is not exactly user friendly – Its very unpleasant in fact.

Suggestion: Add a "Configure Featured Macros" screen where an admin can choose which macros are displayed and which are not

[CONFSERVER-23368] Featured macros in the insert menu don't scale well

The "code" macro is by far the most used macro. This would be a great time saver for us.

Great tip! That's a big help. Thanks for sharing.

I share everyone's frustration, but to get around this, in Confluence Server I simply start typing:

            {cod

and Confluence brings up a list to chose from. Code Block is the first thing for me, I hit tab and my code block is inserted. I don't know Cloud, but understand the equivalent is /code. Using the curly brace works with all macros.

In the end you may find that even faster than mousing to the menu and selecting the code block (once we can configure our own).

            HTH.
            Stay safe, everyone.

Code Block is the macro my development team uses 99.999% of the time. It is very frustrating to have to search for it every_single_time.

+1 why is this even a question? of COURSE this should be customizable.  Why would any two installations usage pattern be similar? I'll bet none are!  Each is unique.
