pagetreesearch macro breaks in template that contain variable

      The pagetreesearch macro will break in template that contain variable.

      Step to reproduce:

      1. Create a the following global template: 
        @variable@ 
{pagetreesearch}
      2. Use the template with IE browser
      3. Click on the "Insert Variable" button (Nothing will happen when clicking the button)

      In Firefox browser, the template can be used and the page will be created but it will have the same error as in CONF-16051
