    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

It would be very useful to be able create a link to the current version of a page that didn't track updates as they are made in future.

It is already possible to create a link to a historical page, but the latest version always tracks the current version. To simulate the functionality I want I am forced to make a trivial change to the page and then grab a link to the now historical version.

For example. A page has 3 versions

      3. (CURRENT)
      2.
      1.

It is possible to get a link to versions 1+2 but not 3 because if I make a change like so

      4. (CURRENT)
      3.
      2.
      1.

The link to 3 previously now points to 4.

Obviously most of the time this feature is essential, but sometimes I would like to be able to grab a link that didn't get updated (specifically I have a use-case for release notes, where i want to link to a snapshot of documentation)
