Create a parameter to hide the button "Edit document" when dispayed

    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      When using the "View" link on a attachment (attachment page), or when the office document is shown with the macro

      {viewdoc or viewfile}

      , the button "Edit Document" should be displayed only if needed. This is mostly difficult for people to see a link "edit page" and "edit document" to know what they are doing. And mostly, the webdav could not be enable, thus frustrating people trying to edit the document in Confluence...
      This situation is difficult especially in intranet environement where security is at hign and http and auth basic mostly not permitted...

      The plugin could propose a new module-macro (show edit button on viewmode )that will be "enable" or "disable".
      This way, the "edit button" is an option...
