Confluence usually displays general validation errors at the top of the form, and errors with specific fields near those fields. This is usually fine.
However:
- in a long form, it may not be obvious that there is a field error somewhere in the form.
- when there is a display bug and the field in error is not displayed at all, or a validation bug where an error is generated for an irrelevant field (
CONF-21692)
I propose displaying a simple message such as "$fieldErrors.size() field-specific error(s) occurred. Check each field for details."
