    Description

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem:

      Currently the anonymous users can browse and search, if Confluence has anonymous access. However registered users with no "can use" access are welcomed with a "Not Permitted" screen.

      If you are a registered user with no "can use" permission you cannot use Confluence, if you logout you are able to see anonymous content.

      Allowing the user, whatever the permissions it has, to be able to browse anonymous content would be the feature requested here.

      Goal:

      The current goal would allow the registered users not count on license, but allowed to comment, and view pages, while "registered" on a "free account", resuming would be allow ALL users to view anonymous content, logged in or not.

      Easy Workaround( to be implemented):

      User to be presented with a "go back" to anonymous Browsing once they hit "not permitted" screen.

      Fix:

      Unfortunately there is none yet.
