I would like to be able associate blog postings with a particular page or category.

The reason I would like to fo this is so I can use the blogs feature like a forum (which is what I really want).

I guess this is using blogs not for their intended purpose, but there is already the functionality there to post messages and reply to them, so I would rather use what is in confluence rather than install a full blown forum site which would have different usernames etc from my main confluence site.

If when you post a blog you could choose a category (default to name of current page?), and then in the blog macro you could set a parameter to only show posts from that category, it would achieve what I am after.
