Hi,

So I have Office 2010 x64 running on Windows 7 x64. I was able to get Confluence working by moving it to an HTTPS URL. Yay!

There is a bug, however. If you edit a document, it first opens in 'Protected mode' in office. You can click 'Enable editing', and edit the document. But when you click save, it says that there was an error transmitting it to the server. It's actually transmitted successfully to Confluence – for some reason it just says there's an error.

I found a workaround though – if you disable Protected mode in the Office Trust Center, then it works flawlessly.

            Hi There

Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are probably aware this issue has been on our backlog for a while now with very little progress being made. Rather than leave this issue here I'm going to close this out as won't fix. I believe this better reflects the status of this issue.

If the problem is raised again in the future we'll readdress it.

            Regards

I have Office 2010 x32 on Windows XP x32. Altering the protected mode settings did not change a behavior where I get a message from Word/ saying "Upload Failed Your changes were saved but could not be uploaded because of an error. You may be able to upload this file using the server Web page. The Microsoft Upload Center also appears indicating the error. Here is my vote for Word 2010 support!
