Bookmarks containing a url in the description produce error: "Unable to render content due to system error: null"

Add a bookmark with a valid url.
Add the following as the description:
Open source volunteer opportunity site, what fido should be. Written in Python/Django currently, but being rewritten in Scala/Lift. David Polak blog post.
Save the bookmark

It will generate the following error:
Unable to render content due to system error: null
