Included page content adds whitespace

I'd like to include the content of a page, and append text directly to it. However, the include macro adds whitespace to the content (version 3.0.2 includes a line break, 3.2.1 includes a space). I believe it should only give the content as written. None of my pages have extra whitespace at the end, so that should not be the problem.

When creating a user macro, I am including the content of a page, which gives me a base url. I'd like to be able to call that user macro to get the base url, and append additional information to complete the url.

However, now I am getting

http://www.myurl.com

/more_info?id=5

or

http://www.myurl.com /more_info?id=5

I've done what I could to try and strip out that extra whitespace, but cannot do it.
