NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Confluence should allow you to add search engines to its search, sort of a "Federated Search". We use Jive software as well as all Atlassian products. Since confluence has opensearch, Jive allows us to add a search URL for confluence. Then when searching from our Jive SBS site, it also returns search results from our Confluence Wiki. It would be great if we could also do the reverse from confluence. You could add search engine descriptors for any number of other Cots products that offer opensearch. This would allow you to tie all of your products together more seamlessly.
