link autocomplete only working on a querty keyboard layout?

When trying out the new autocomplete functionality in the rich text editor we found out that

• inserting attachments / images works as described (using ! and waiting for a while)
• inserting links (using [ and waiting for a while) only seems to work on a querty keyboard

All of our users have an azerty keyboard, on which you need to press Alt Gr simultaneously with another button to insert a [ character.
For a moment you can see the autocomplete getting to live but not for long . I suppose the Alt Gr is the root of the problem here...
