Searching for a link using auto-complete replaces your link text with the search result

Steps to reproduce:
1. Type trigger character [
2. Type some text
3. Select "search for text" in autocomplete to open the link browser
OR
1. Type some text
2. Click Ctrl+Shift+K
3. Select "search for text" in autocomplete to open the link browser

The link text is not the text that was typed. This behavior is inconsistent with just selecting text and opening the link browser. All three scenarios should be consistent and populate the link text with the user typed text.
