This is identical to the issue in http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-14018, however we have applied the patched jar file, atlassian-renderer-4.3.1-SNAPSHOT.jar, and this has not resolved the issue.
The bug can be replicated in Internet explorer 7 but not in Firefox 3.6
1. Create new page. In Wiki Markup mode input text, e.g.:
One
Two
Note: there is space between first and second lines.
2. Save this page.
3. Open this page in Rich Text mode and write some text into space between lines. E.g.:
One
Some text
Two
4. Save and look at page now. The latter change was lost!
This is causing a great deal of frustration for our users so we would be grateful if it could be investigated. Upgrading to a later version of confluence is also not an option for us at present
