Database error when using embedded HSQL database on Tomcat 5

      When running Confluence under:

      • tomcat 5
      • embedded HSQLDB database

      You will get the error:
      The database is already in use by another process

      This appears to be caused by an incompatibility between Tomcat 5 and the connection pool c3p0 that Confluence uses.
