Ability to paste a web URL (i.e. 'http://...') into the Search dialog and have it actually work

The new links dialog is great but it's a regression from the old links dialog when it comes to web page linking - At least half of the linking I do on EAC is to other web pages outside of Confluence but you've added an extra step for people who want to link to web pages.

For example:

• I select the text I want to add the link to and then hit CTRL+K to launch the dialog.
• With the new dialog I have to take my hands off the keyboard, grab the mouse and select "web link" before typing/pasting in the URL.

I would like to be able to paste the URL into the Search dialog and have it know that I'm pasting a web page.
