MIME types issues with the "drag and drop" method (google gears) in Confluence 3.1.

Using WEBDAV with Internet Explorer (IE8), the additional MIME types (for example: type PPTX) can be added in mime.types in <confluence installation dir>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes dir. Then the file can be uploaded and downloaded properly in IE.

However, the new "drag and drop" method (google gears) in Confluence 3.1 doesn't respect the additional file types being added in the mime.types file.

Included below are the results from the user troubleshooting the drag and drop method and WebDAV method in Confluence 3.1:

After adding pptx file type extension to the mime.types file and upload/download the file.

When attempting to download the file through the interface, the results are (File x Downloading Browser):

      WebDAV x Firefox = OK
      WebDAV x IE = OK

Firefox via Gears x Firefox = OK
Firefox via Gears x IE = Fail, Attempts to download as .ZIP
IE via Gears x IE = Fail, Attempts to download as .ZIP
