      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently in 3.1 version there is an option to subscribe to daily updates which is kind of nice, but it would be good to have an option to set frequency of those emails, like weekly.

      There is a related issue submitted by Gary Gelb at http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-12324, the issue seems to be more than one year old.
