From customer report:

When editing pages using the rich text editor in IE8, the editor jumps to the top of the document every time the "Draft Saved at ..." notification appears above it.

Whilst this doesn't move the cursor (so you can continue typing and the editor will go back to the right place although in most cases, the user is unlikely to notice this), it is very distracting to the user who's editing the contents.

Turning on or off the IE8 "Compatibility mode" doesn't seem to affect the behaviour.

Verified in 3.0.0_01 however not replicable on 3.1-beta1. Looks like it's been resolved as part of CONF-15413
