Attempting to use Edit in Word feature of the Office Connector in FireFox.
The prompt displays: A plugin is required to use this feature. Would you like to download it.

The installation dialog appears.
Click on Install
Dialog appears:

added a comment - Are you using Word 2007? If so, try the fix starting at Step 7 here:

That solved the problem for me (but I still had to switch back to the default theme).

added a comment - I too am trying to use the Edit in Word feature with Firefox, and I tried to download the WebDav plugin, but get the following message: WebDAV Launcher 1.0 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.3.
I changed my theme from Confluence Classic to the Default theme, but still cannot install the plugin. We are on Confluence Version: 2.8.2 Build:#1325 Jul 01, 2008.
Any suggestions for us?

I changed my theme from Confluence Classic to the Default theme, but still cannot install the plugin. We are on Confluence Version: 2.8.2 Build:#1325 Jul 01, 2008.
Any suggestions for us?

this particular problem only happens on non-default themes and it is to do with wrong links that in clickr and left nav themes. It must be some other issue in your case. Can you please contact support: http://support.atlassian.com and we will help you to address your problem.

NeoOffice is installed
This is extremely frustrating since we want to compare Confluence functionality v. SharePoint. Could definitely affect our choice of vendor here!
Changing theme to Default had NO EFFECT.

A workaround is to switch to the default theme.
