Custom PDF font was introduced in Confluence 2.10.x. Unfortunately custom font cannot be migrated during Confluence 3.0.0_01 upgrade.
It failed with the following warning in the atlassian-confluence.log:
2009-08-14 14:09:44,000 WARN [main] [extra.flyingpdf.upgrade.UpgradePdfLanguageSupport] afterPropertiesSet More than one file was found in the font directory - custom font will not be migrated for use with the PDF Export plugin.
The work around is to re-upload the font as stated here: CONF-16629.
