    Description

We face very often scenarios were customers want to use confluence as a customer channel, using one or more spaces to expose them to communicate with clients, there are several permissions issues for this to be a really good solution, mainly:

      1. The one this issue is about: Any body with a view permission to a page can actually view the whole history... not good in some cases and the work around is very tedious (create-edit...- copy - delete original to loose history, etc.. what if you need the history?).
      2. The one referenced on this issue specific to view source permissions
      3. The one referenced on this issue specific to edit permissions being inherited.
      4. The one referenced on this issue specific to hiding links to pages that users have no view permission to.

Resolving this issue and the ones referenced would make confluence a lot easier to sell as a customer channel communication tool
      thanks!
