Description
We face very often scenarios were customers want to use confluence as a customer channel, using one or more spaces to expose them to communicate with clients, there are several permissions issues for this to be a really good solution, mainly:
- The one this issue is about: Any body with a view permission to a page can actually view the whole history... not good in some cases and the work around is very tedious (create-edit...- copy - delete original to loose history, etc.. what if you need the history?).
- The one referenced on this issue specific to view source permissions
- The one referenced on this issue specific to edit permissions being inherited.
- The one referenced on this issue specific to hiding links to pages that users have no view permission to.
Resolving this issue and the ones referenced would make confluence a lot easier to sell as a customer channel communication tool
thanks!
