Steps to replicate:

      1. Export a space to html (choose the default theme)
      2. Unzip the package
      3. Check /styles/site.css

      The top displays:
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/master.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/wiki-content.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/tabs.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/menu.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/menu-ie.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/tables.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/panels.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/master-ie.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/renderer-macros.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/content-types.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/information-macros.css */
      /* Could not locate resource: /includes/css/layout-macros.css */

      The workaround is to include the content of these manually, from the confluence distribution.

            [CONFSERVER-16264] css includes are missing in html export

            As I've been able to reproduce this behaviour in 5.2.5 and 5.3-OD15, I've cloned this issue as a regression: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-32082

            The resources described in the issue description are no longer missing from the HTML export, so I will be marking this issue with an 'Obsolete' resolution.

            We're aware that a lot of work needs to be done to fix HTML export. Examples include styling improvements (CONF-28659) and bugs such as broken anchor links (CONF-24703). Please watch and vote on these issues if they're important to you.

            I was surprised to get the last comment. I haven't experienced this since upgrading to 4.1.x.

            I've found none of the "workarounds" listed here as solving all of the many problems related to this issue. For instance, within the HTML markup of many of my exported pages, I have a class called "confluence-anchor-link". I have performed an automated search of EVERY .css file included in the distribution and cannot locate this class definition. When will this issue be FIXED?

            I have attached a stylesheet site.css that can be used to replace the faulty site.css in html export zips.

            I can confirm that copying the files works on Confluence 3.5.6. However - the issue should really be fixed by Atlassian. I now have to create a post-deployment task for every upgrade to ensure we do not loose the formatting when we pick pages from Confluence.

            Running this under Process Monitor reveals that it tries to load the CSS files from:

            confluence\WEB-INF\classes\includes\css\

            Copying the files there seems to be the best workaround so far.

            We are relying heavily on exported spaces in order to reduce load on our confluence instance. Since a recent upgrade to 3.2 almost all of our 163 spaces are broken. Although there are workarounds, this should be fixed at the root of the problem.

            It would save us a bunch of work if this were fixed.
