Confluence seems to be lacking in markup for the tab character. This makes the creation of aligned sets of data with anything but tables (complicated) and lists (unnecessary bullets) very complicated if not impossible.

i.e., take this list as follows

Customer Name: Bob
Phone Number: XXX
Address: Carlotta Drive

If I want all of the information to line up, it becomes very hard to implement (Confluence steals away the extra spaces), and it should be something I don't even have to think about.

A table would work for a situation like that one, but if someone wants to place the dataset within another table (as I do), it becomes a series of nested complications, which are tricky to sort out in the Confluence markup. As such, I'm filing this as a bug and not an improvement.
