RTE inserts unwanted new lines into metadata tables

Looks like there are some improvements to RTE when compared to our latest Confluence 2.10.3 system, which mangles metadata table forms, adding an extra | character on headings or escaping | characters in multi-line table cells.

Just tried the RTE here: <http://confluence.demo.atlassian.com/display/TEST/Day+in+the+Life+Project>

No issues observed with |, but it does appear to insert extra new lines in unwanted locations, like after all icon bullets.
