Description
1.) The "Recently Updated" portlet on the dashboard stops updating.
2.) We manually restart Content Indexing through Administration. This first doesnt seem to work, then we notice the "Queue Contents" are also full, with Number of items in queue: 283
3.) We try to click "Flush Queue"
4.) A minute later the "Recently updated" portlet has updated again, and it seems to be fixed, but the queue is not empty or changing
5.) We are not 100% sure what fixed it now, probably Content Indexing did but there was a delay
6.) We still think it cant be right that the queue is not processing stuff anymore, even though users dont seem to notice problems yet (anymore)
7.) This has happened before, and was fixed by restarting the complete server, which we had to do anyways to insert more RAM., but that was just a conincidence, and we dont want to restart this procduction system every time this happens
8.) We have seen http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-9871?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Aall-tabpanel with similar problems, but we dont have those plugins mentioned there as a cause.
The queue has stopped processing on May 11, 2009 19:50, the "Recently updated" had stopped working on May 12, after we re-indexed it is up to date again, but not the queue.
