Cannot move page -- no explanation

trying to move a page, and i think i don't have permissions to do it, even though i just created it and the page i want to try to move it under grr. so i tried to move it in the "List Pages - Tree View" section for the space. it looks like it works but then when i go to the page it hasn't actually moved, and refreshing the tree view shows it in its original location. this is very frustrating. the page move screen should have much better user feedback.

maybe there is already a bug on this but there are a million page move issues so you tell me
